Factor in a twitchstepping junglist rhythm a la ‘Reverse Engineering’ and you’ve got the the arresting ‘Aria’, yet another heavyweight addition to the Rockwell canon. From open-skied beauty, ‘Live For The Moment takes the vibe deeper, tucking darkside synth stabs, flickering micro rhythms and febrile electronic gremlins into a proper inner city warehouse special. The Untold link ‘Rekohu Sunrise’ simply exceeds expectations, pitting the two in a flurry of advanced tribal rhythmic data, digitized, darting and hungry for the ‘floor. Finally, Ulterior Motive weighs in with the snarling future junglist attack of ‘Noir’, punctuated with hyper-dynamic edits, an apocalyptic breakdown and tearing bass licks.
